Originally from Sunnyvale, California, Coach Kyle Avvakumovits brings a deep love for sports and teaching to Desert Mountain High School. A former multi-sport athlete at Cupertino High, he played football, basketball, and baseball while also serving as an athletic commissioner in student leadership.

Now a dedicated member of the Desert Mountain faculty, Coach Kyle teaches mathematics and also coaches the school’s badminton team. His leadership philosophy blends structure, accountability, and encouragement, creating a program where players grow both on and off the court.

As head coach of the Desert Mountain Girls Basketball team, he continues to build a culture rooted in hard work, teamwork, and confidence, guiding the Wolves toward another exciting season.
